For example, a client I coached was struggling with staying focused for her 4 hour work shift as a computer programmer. She created a menu of options she could do to take a brain break at work half way through her shift. When she’s feeling stressed, it’s hard to remember what your plans were. So, she bought a journal to use as a work Goal Journal. Her first page was a menu of actions she could take to give her brain a break and rejuvenate her motivation and ability to focus.
